Star struck

  1. I've never been star struck, but I think that's because I was around a lot of famous people from a very young age.

My aunt does stagework (has been for years) and so I met a lot of the minor celebrities. Malcolm Jamal Warner employed me as his beverage courier when I was just a wee lad. And I met Brooke Shields and Andre Agassi who came to see one of the plays. I met a couple of relatively famous bands when I was in highschool, but they were pretty down-to-earth people and I didn't feel intimidated talking to them.

Then, of course, living in Santa Barbara for college I saw a ton of famous people. Janet Jackson shopping downtown. Michael Jordan (on campus for a summer basketball camp, and at the local movie theater. He also owns a bar in the city, apparently).

Celebrities don't really strike me as unapproachable. I've never been recognized as even a small-group celebrity, though, so I don't know what I would do in that situation. I'm a pretty shy guy, so I'd probably just turn red and become quiet, and start making excuses for the content I post on my site.
